Our grapes are like us: they don't know how to lie.
That's why we cultivate them in the vineyard without the use of chemicals because, as our winemaker Emiliano Falsini says,
"the work to create a great wine begins in the vineyard."
It is thanks to his decades of experience that we have successfully cultivated and processed premium grapes such as Nero d'Avola and Moscato, making the most of the unique characteristics of this area of Sicily. But it doesn't stop there: we have added Lucignola, a relic vine variety, to these wines.
What is a relic vine variety? It is a type of grape that, whether due to difficulty, demand, or mere chance, has disappeared from circulation. We decided to believe in it and give new life to this grape, which has rewarded us with a unique ruby red wine.
Our wine is made from the soil, time, and the work of the cellar.
Our grapes grow on the 36th parallel, the same latitude as Tunis between the Mediterranean and the Ionian Sea, the southernmost frontier of Italy, the extreme southeastern tip.
At an elevation of 70 meters above sea level, the soils in the area are medium-textured with a strong presence of limestone rock, which gives unique colors and aromas.
The light here is similar to that of Africa: besides being beautiful, it facilitates the photosynthesis of the plants and the ripening of the fruit.
